The studio explores contemporary material culture, taking particular interest in circular yet open ended material flows - seeking to understand how to best deploy an ever-depleting set of primary resources or exploring the potential of regenerative materials for construction.

The programme for 20/21 explores the theme ‘making resilient architecture’ and seeks to address the socio-cultural conditions brought about by the global pandemic. Investigations take place at extreme scales of infrastructure and detail which expose the opportunities and offer the means to make tactical interventions. Design projects located in Liverpool - North Docks, establish open-ended spatial constructs with inclusive programmes of occupation that offer a more resilient future.
